Avon Coaches as it was previously known as was founded in 1985 by present proprietor Larry Smith, since then the company has overcome radical changes from operating School contacts to local Commercial services and within later years expanding the business with services starting in Crosby & Fazakeley and their former outstation in Bootle, a name change to Avon Buses was made in late 2004/2005.
